i really enjoyed this book. it was an interesting take on what it would have meant to transition in the sixties. some of this book was wildly sexist and heterosexist, but i didn't find it to be as offensive as some other transition stories i've read. i really appreciated reading about what this man went through, as he would have been one of the pioneers of gender reassignment. it was also really great to hear about his wife standing by him throughout the whole experience.
