A complete biography of "Davy" Crockett that dispels so many of the Disney-inspired myths. Sometimes more attention is given to uninteresting details, however, rather than to well-known events (e.g., Crockett's mysterious death at the Alamo), probably in an effort to avoid the obvious Disney-inspired interests of most readers.
