I wish to be perfectly honest with this review. I approached reading this book with some trepidation as I am not a big fan of the genre. I am basically a science fiction fan and historical fiction is a far cry from that. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Autobiography of Fezziwig is available on Amazon and at less than $4 for the Kindle edition, everyone should buy this book and read it....especially avid readers and teachers.

Although I bought the book a couple of months ago, I was just now able to read it on vacation. I found it quite enjoyable! Loved this book. I was hooked on the first page.

The author has taken Fezziwig, a minor character from Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, and made him real. I felt I was part of Fezziwig’s life and times, and I cared about him and the people in his life. The author adroitly weaves historical facts into the story, and the narrative and dialog seem authentic for eighteenth century London without being dense and plodding.
