A very basic Holocaust memoir, covering the author's experiences in the Lodz Ghetto, Auschwitz and other camps without going into a lot of detail. Julius Jacobs does a lot of talks in schools etc. about his Holocaust experiences, and this book seems to be geared towards a middle-grade audience. People who have read a lot of Holocaust memoirs will want something more, but this is a good enough book to introduce kids to the horrors.
