I read this book while considering going to seminary but trying to decide between Southwestern, Southeastern, and Southern. I read this book and discovered that Southern had just founded The Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth. I became very excited about the change at Southern Seminary. I went to OBU during Spring Break of March 1996 and met with an Ambassador who gave me material. I ended up applying for seminary and started in August 1996 through December 2002.

W. A. Criswell was born December 19, 1909 in Eldorado, Oklahoma. He received his B.A. from Baylor University, and his Th.M. and Ph.D. degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as pastor of First Baptist Church Chickasha, Oklahoma and First Baptist Church Muskogee, Oklahoma prior to being called as pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas in October of 1944.
