A fine little small autobiography of someone unknown (unless you subscribe to the fine political magazine he started, The Washington Monthly.)
I kept thinking of my father when I read this -- he was the same kind of man. Super-smart without being showy, decidedly not narcissistic, perhaps a bit difficult and curmudgeonly.
