A family saga that spans for most of the 20th century with its bright and dark sides: the economic boom that coupled with the obsession for work and perfection made building up an enormous empire possible, the internment during the war and the company boards battles in the stock exchange trenches. And then the politics, the succession at the helm, and a large and ambitious family ascending to the British elite from being poor Italian immigrants. All this is told in a direct writing style.
