This was a really accessible book, of interest to anyone interested in the Tokugawa-Meiji transition. The translation is easy to read, and there were only a phrases in the whole book that struck me as awkwardly translated. It was fascinating to read about the invents and intellectual movements from Fukuzawa's perspective!
