In September 1989, he showed Ministry of Defence officials, on a vast wall map, precisely where Saddam Hussein had built the factories that were turning out his missiles, artillery and munitions. He knew where they were because he had been inside many of them. In the Gulf War British and American aircraft used Henderson's information to help pinpoint targets for the bombs that destroyed the military power of Iraq.
