There is a reason this book has a five star rating on Amazon! It feels as if you are actually being told a story rather than reading it yourself, as Jimmy often detours during a story and talks about a different time, then returns, as if he was distracted while talking. Perhaps not as much about Dad's Army as you would expect, however it's easy to see where bits and pieces from Dad's Army came from- some of the lines from the show are essentially word for word what he heard from fellow members o
