I have always been interested in Jimmy Doolittle. I was aware that his impact on aviation was tremendous but didn't know much about the details. His book was mentioned in Bob Hoover's Flying the Feathered Edge and it made me want to pick up a copy.

The book is written by Mr. Doolittle himself and does not beat around the bush. It's a pilots book written by a true pioneer. The man was simply a force of nature in early aviation. He was a pretty smart guy but that's not what made him great. It was
