It's really nice and interesting to read. The style of writing is easy, clear and honest. You learn Midge Ure is a completely normal human being with all his strengths, weaknesses, hopes, fears and doubts everybody knows or has to face one day or already did. It's only one of the reasons I like it so much. Moreover I enjoyed reading the pages about his childhood in Glasgow a lot and so the story about the 24 hours producing "Do they know it's Christmas?".

I have already read the autobiography when it first came out several years ago and found it sad that it ended on kind of a low note because it was a point in Midge's life, where things did not go well for him. I am really happy about this updated version because it includes his reunion with Ultravoxand and ends much more positive.

Even though his style isn't as polished as you'd get in other biographies, Midge's biggest asset is his sincerity. His story is not sugarcoated; he tells it as he feels. He discusses the ups and downs, the hits and the misses, and his words make perfect sense because he speaks from his longtime experience not only in the music business, but also as a father, a friend, a recovering alcoholic. His is a story of success, but in the most humane way.
