A must read in our house as well, as my husband was a direct descendant. Excellent insight into Butler's motivations for his actions. Even if you do not agree with Butler's choices, you can appreciate why me made them.
Had to read it...it's about my great great great great grandfather (slight bias here) and his journal entries give a unique insight into the settlement of the early western frontier.
