Priestley's third book in his "Chapters of Autobiography" series and in fact the last book he wrote. This is very parred down compared to the two volumes he wrote in the 1930's in fact the autobiography proper only consists of 100 pages, the rest of the book consists of an essay "The Happy Dream" that he'd written several years previously and some new afterthoughts on the essay. Priestley is here as consistently entertaining as he usually is, but you can't help wishing he'd gone into more depth.
