A must read for any Rovers fan, new or old!! Simply told story of Simon's life, mostly focused on his football career with Rovers, Wycombe and a few other clubs. For longtime Rovers fans, this will give you an insight into the goings on at the club in Simon's time there, for newer fans, it will give you a history of the club in the two decades before Jack Walker, and a little bit into the Walker era, from an aging striker's viewpoint. Simon Garner (BA, MA, Barrister at Law) studied English Literature and Philosophy in London and Sussex. He worked as an English teacher in Germany before returning to London to train as a barrister. He is a passionate advocate of urban living, he regards the café as the second highest achievement of civilization (after the Routemaster bus). He lives in London and is addicted to caffeine.
