I don't usually read sporting biographies/autobiographies unless it is about an all time great (Botham, Best) or I think the author has something insightful to say (Michael Atherton, Basil D'Oliveira, Leo McInstry's excellent biography of Geoffrey Boycott). This book was bought for me as a present and really confirmed my views.
The narrative conveys Swann's bubbly personality. Given that he came late in his career to international recognition and success it was interesting to read his take on why

This wasn't as good as I hoped it would be although it is still a decent read for the cricket fan. It covers what you would expect in a cricket book but I was expecting a lot more humour and maybe some behind the scenes fights and stuff, but it was a bit tame overall. Again, not the greatest cricket book available.

Graeme Peter Swannis an English international cricketer. He is primarily a right-arm offspinner, but also bats right-handed. After initially playing for his home county Northamptonshire, for which he made his debut in 1997, he moved to Nottinghamshire in 2005. He often fields at slip. He attended Sponne School in Towcester, Northamptonshire.
