Wow I really couldn't put this book down, I have met the man himself and it was talking to my family about him and his story that led me to want to pick up his book. It was very graphic and precise and even reading it you wonder at times why he's writing this down for us to read and invade the thoughts that must be strong still in his nightmares but then I thought maybe this book was a good way for him to get it out (a little bit) of his system. A very humbling and emotional Simon Weston documents his brief but life-changing Army career. From his roots in Wales, the infamous burns suffered in the sinking of the Sir Galahad during the Falklands War and his subsequent extensive rehabilitation Walking Tall is a must read.

Couldn't put this book down. I've met the mad himself and he is so humble and amazing and I'm so glad he was able to write this story so we can all share in his experiences. Such an incredible life and I'm not one for autobiographies.
