wow - what a unique read! at first the book seemed a bit dry and generic, but with every passing chapter the reader becomes more involved with the author, Luther Benson. he was an orator who spoke out in favor of temperance, yet fought a raging battle for years against drunkenness. he recalls his failed attempt after failed attempt. he gives you entrance into the mind of a drunkard fighting to be free. an old-fashioned writing style.
