Overview

This book gives a look at my life as I knew it. It could be of interest to anyone who has been in the Military Service. I've done many things during my life, having spent over a year in the CCC's (Civilian Conservation Corp.) during 1935-36. Then going into the Army for the following three years as an Artilleryman and a Cavalry Soldier, then it was off to the Navy. Serving first on a Cruiser that was sunk during the invasion of Guadlecanal, finally ending up on the USS Missouri for the signing of the surrender with the Japanese. The author is not a celebrity. He is not a big name in television or any other source. However he is as important as any man on this earth. All you have to do is ask him. Harold is an eighty year old who has seen the good and the bad.. He has his opinion about the world in general, our politicians in particular. I feel I've had a good life, did lots of traveling, chased lots of girls, caught some and lost some......I've been extremely happy with my children who have exceeded beyond my expectations.
